Victory Day is a significant and dear date for our country. We remember the efforts with which the Great Victory was achieved, we honor the exploits and achievements of our ancestors, the memory of those who died, and we care about those who are still with us.

In order to involve children and adolescents, youth, the working-age population and the elderly in regular physical education and health activities, popularize physical culture and sports among the population, introduce residents to a healthy lifestyle and active recreation, the republican state-public association "Presidential Sports Club" With the assistance of the Ministry of Education and the Belarusian Football Federation Association, a republican competition to support sports and a healthy lifestyle “Football for All” is being held.

The Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova congratulated the staff and students of VSMU on the inclusion of the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University on the Republican Board of Honor for achieving high results in the field of socio-economic development among educational organizations in 2023.

As part of the systematic work to increase the export of educational services, on May 7, 2024, VSMU hosted a working meeting of the university management represented by the Rector Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-rector for international relations and organizational and legal work Litsa Denis, the Head of the department of international and interregional relations Elena Sharykhina, the Head of the department international relations of Anna Pchelintseva with the directorate of the recruiting company IMC Education (Sri Lanka).

On May 9, 2024, the “Heart of Vitebsk” athletics race will be held in Victory Park among the residents and guests of Vitebsk, dedicated to the Victory Day. We invite the students and university staff to take an active part in this race. Registration of participants: 10.30-11.50, Kalinina street, Pobediteley Park (Ferris Wheel). Start of the race: 12.00. Distance length: 6.05 km.
