Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War, academic staff and students of the University!

With all of my heart I congratulate you on an important and solemn date in the history of our people - Victory Day! We will always remember those who heroically fought on all fronts, worked in the rear, and rebuilt the country in the post-war years. This holiday for us is associated with strong emotions and feelings: bitterness of loss, pride in the Victory won, awareness of the fragility of the world and responsibility for its preservation. I would like to address the warmest words of gratitude to our veterans who endured all the hardships of the war. Thank you and deepest gratitude! I wish everyone a good mood, health, prosperity and many years of peaceful, creative life! My heartiest congratulations on Victory Day!

 On May 5, on the basis of the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, a republican student scientific-journalistic conference "Heroism for the future: dedicated to high humanism, courage and self-sacrifice of doctors" was held, participated by the students of our university. Bubnova Valeria Sergeevna, a 2^nd year student, made a report on the topic “The history of the Great Patriotic War in the history of my family. Hero of the Soviet Union Boris Ivanovich Kovzan ”. As a result of the conference, all participants received certificates and souvenirs. After the official part, an excursion to the Museum of the Great Patriotic War was held for the conference participants.

On April 20, 2021, in the conference hall of the morphological building of VSMU, a republican seminar was held on organizing the work of Technology and Innovation Support Centers and topical issues of protection and management of intellectual property rights, organized jointly with specialists from the National Center for Intellectual Property and the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic Belarus.

Foreign students of VSMU took an active part in the VI International scientific and practical conference of foreign students and undergraduates "Foreign students - to Belarusian science", hosted by the educational establishment "Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine" and received worthy awards.

On March 10, 2021, Moscow hosted the XI International Professional Competition for University staff "Pedagogical Discovery 2021: University", attended by 495 higher professional educational institutions from Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and other countries. 

Golenova Irina Aleksandrovna, the Head of Department of Medical and Biological Physics of VSMU, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, took part in this competition and won a landslide victory in two categories: pedagogical sciences (1st place) and physical and mathematical sciences (1st place).
