Events

In the period from January to December 2021, there was a Republican creativity festival of foreign students of higher educational establishments called “FEST-ART.BY-2021”. 

Within the framework of the festival, there were numerous international events such as a republican interactive exposition, an art event competition, a video essay project, a video competition and others. 

VSMU students of the Overseas Students Training Faculty took part in the republican video competition titled “ART DIGEST – TIME OF OPPORTUNITIES”. The Sri Lankan group MixFeeds, headed by the 6th-year student Vidhi Chand, presented videos of their national dances, whereas a 4th-year student Randeniya Devin Chandula Felishion performed a video with the song “Wicked Game”.

Today 12th of march our university Vitebsk state medical unversity (VSMU) particepated in Vitebsk international exhibition of cultures. Different nationalities joined Vitebsk people and it,s guests in proudly celebrating the last day of the capital of youth for 2022 ceremonies; Turkmenistan , Palestine , Srilanka, India, China and Nigeria .

On the 12th of March, as part of the festival "Vitebsk - the youth capital of 2022", which was held in the concert hall "Vitebsk" an Exhibition and Presentation titled "Vitebsk - A city of opportunities for youth" was taken place, in which the participants demonstrated the best examples of scientific, industrial, socio-economic, creative projects and achievements. The guests of honor of the youth capital got acquainted with the most diverse, bright and unique exhibits of universities, colleges, youth centers and institutions of additional education, among them were the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrey Ivanovich Ivanets, the Chairman of the Grodno City Council of Deputies Boris Vasilyevich Fedorov, the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Nikolai V. Orlov, Rector of the university Anatoly Tadeushevich Shchastny MD, Vice-rector for educational and ideological work Natalya Gennadievna Boltrushevich PhD. and many more.

On March 11, the Rector of the University, professor Shchastniy A.T. held a videoconference with the parents of students from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The meeting was also attended by a representative of the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation. During the videoconference, which was held in the question-answer format, such issues as the safety of the educational process for foreign students, the peculiarities of issuing visas for foreign citizens when leaving the territory of the Republic of Belarus, the possibility of tuition fees payment delay, etc. were discussed.
