On November 21, 2023, the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University was visited by the delegation of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Belarus, headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Alireza Sanei.

The negotiations were attended by the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Organizational and Legal Work Lits Denis, the Dean of the Faculty of Training of Foreign Citizens Vyacheslav Pobyarzhin and the Head of the International Relations Department of the Department of International and Interregional Relations Anna Pchelintseva.

At the meeting a wide range of issues were discussed on the establishment of cooperation in the educational and scientific fields with higher medical establishments of Iran, as well as the prospects for training Iranian citizens at VSMU.

A meeting was held between the Embassy delegation and Iranian citizens studying at VSMU. The students talked about their life in Vitebsk and their studies at the university, shared positive emotions and reviews about the Republic of Belarus and studying at VSMU.
