On September 9, 2025, the university clinic of Vitebsk State Medical University was visited by Vyacheslav Viktorovich Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The purpose of his visit was to familiarize himself with the organization of the educational process and the system of practical training for future medical professionals. During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issue of practice-oriented education — a key requirement emphasized by the management for modern training programs.

VSMU Rector Alexey Chukhanov shared details about the features of the educational process, including the close integration of theoretical training with clinical practice. He also discussed promising projects and developments implemented in the clinic aimed at improving the quality of education and healthcare services.

Vyacheslav Viktorovich assessed the material and technical base of the clinic, conditions for student training, availability of modern equipment, and the overall level of comfort. During his conversation with students, he also inquired about their opinions regarding the organization of the educational process.

A particular emphasis was placed on the need for further improvement in mastering new technologies and the opportunity for the university clinic to provide qualified assistance to residents of the region on par with other healthcare facilities.
