In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, aimed at comprehensive support for young specialists and interns, the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University (VSMU) conducted several working trips across all regions of the country. The purpose of these visits was to familiarize themselves with the practical activities of university graduates in their first jobs and to establish constructive dialogue regarding the quality of their education.
During these meetings, particular emphasis was placed on assessing graduates' opinions regarding the quality and effectiveness of their training. Young specialists were asked to analyze the compliance of curricula with modern requirements of practical healthcare, emphasizing the development of necessary professional competencies and applied skills.
Based on the outcomes of this extensive outreach and direct communication with graduates, a set of valuable suggestions and recommendations was compiled and documented. These initiatives aimed at further modernizing and optimizing educational programs to enhance their effectiveness.
A platform for summarizing these findings was a meeting convened by the rector of VSMU, Alexey Chukanov, involving deans of faculties and department heads. During this session, the collected data was thoroughly reviewed, leading to the development and unanimous approval of a comprehensive program of measures focused on updating educational and methodological support. Strict control over the implementation of these measures has been established, with a deadline of one month.
