On November 26, 2025, as part of a cooperation agreement, a career guidance event was held for students in grades 10–11 of the State Educational Establishment "Secondary School No. 16 in Polotsk," organized by the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course at VSMU.

Elena Gusakova, Dean of the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course at VSMU, introduced the guests to the university and provided information about the key aspects of admissions to VSMU, including targeted training programs and opportunities for winners of university Olympiads in biology and chemistry.

As part of the event, students visited VSMU's scientific and educational center, the "Center for Molecular Genetic and Biotechnological Research," as well as a simulation and certification center. During the visit, the children were shown modern equipment, simulators, and training devices used to implement a practice-oriented learning approach.

An excursion to VSMU's anatomical museum was also organized to showcase its unique collection of exhibits.

These events help high school students develop a comprehensive understanding of medical education—from the admission process and foundational sciences to advanced technologies and practical training. Such experiences are an important step in professional self-determination, assisting students in making an informed and motivated choice to pursue a career in healthcare.
