«Medicine means addition and withdrawal.
Withdrawal of all that is superfluous, and addition of the missing.
And who is the best-doing is the best doctor».
Hippocrates 5th century BC

Civilization with all its benefits and achievements has led to a growing cascade of environmental pollution. Tens of thousands of toxic or, at least, unwanted substances from air, water, food get into a human body constantly. These are products of "household chemicals", chemicals used in agriculture (pesticides, insecticides, defoliants, and chemical fertilizers), emissions of transport and industry, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, even medicines, including antibiotics and hormones fed animals, and contained in their meat. A system of protection and correction of internal environment of the body built for thousands of years is unable to perform its function, which leads to disruption of normal metabolism, weakening and distortion immunity to various diseases, including diseases of the members that remove metabolic-waste products from the body – kidney, liver, skin, gastrointestinal tract. Hence it is clear that very often it is impossible to achieve full recovery without sanitation of the internal environment. Currently, there is a number of treatment methods for solving this problem - so-called methods of extracorporeal blood correction. In another they are called efferent (from the Latin. efferens - delete) methods.

Clinic of VSMU offers the most effective methods of efferent medicine:

UV and LASER irradiation of blood (blood photomodification) increases the functional activity of blood cells and tissue resistance to lack of oxygen, accelerates tissue regeneration and improves their nutrition, activates the antioxidant defense system. Implementation of these effects improves metabolism and fluidity (rheology) of blood, produces anti-inflammatory and immunocorrective effect, increases the body's resistance to environmental factors.

PLASMAPHERESIS - removal of the plasma (the liquid part of blood). The plasma is removed with excess amount of physiological and pathological products, which play a major role in the development of diseases and their complications. Plasma volume removed is filled with special solutions, and blood cell mass (erythrocytes, etc.) is returned to the patient. Henceforth a significant reduction of pathological concentrations of products can be observed.

Goals of the methods of detoxification and blood photomodification:

Health-improving:

  • For athletes in preparation for responsible competitions (quick recovery of physical fitness, the mobilization of hidden reserves of the organism).
  • For individuals whose type of activity requires a quick recovery of excellent psycho-emotional and physical condition.

Preventive:

  • For patients whose type of activity concerns with constant stress (Psych-emotional, physical).
  • For patients suffered from harmful habits (alcohol, tobacco smoking, toxicomania).
  • For patients whose work concerns with toxic substances and radiation.
  • Prevention of premature aging.
  • Prevention of infectious and colds during seasonal epidemics
  • Prevention of cancer

Recovering:

  • For patients after surgical interventions.
  • For patients after infectious and noninfectious diseases
  • For patients after fractures and injuries of the musculoskeletal system

Remedial:

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • Stress
  • Acne
  • Furunculosis
  • Psoriasis
  • Atherosclerosis
  • Cardiac ischemia
  • Hypertonic disease
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Bronchial asthma
  • Neurasthenia
  • Insomnia
  • Migraine
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Gastritis
  • Gastroduodenal ulcer
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Diabetes and its complications
  • Periodontitis
  • Stomatitis
  • Chlamydia
  • Mycoplasmosis
  • Acterial vaginosis
  • Defeats herpes and cytomegalovirus
  • Delayed fracture consolidation

In the treatment of detoxification methods there are no patient age restrictions. Pregnancy and lactation is not contraindicated. Treatment is easy tolerated and does not require special training during treatment.

The therapeutic effect appears within 1 - 2 weeks and lasts up to 6 months. To assign an individual course of treatment (selection of an optimal method in accordance with indications and contraindications, determination the number of necessary procedures - from 3 to 10) a prior consultation of the doctor is required.
