Providing therapeutic and diagnostic assistance to the population of Vitebsk and Mogilev regions by the staff of the clinical departments of VSMU

In January 2024, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, within the framework of joint planned visits of VSMU and the State Healthcare Institution of the Vitebsk and Mogilev regional executive committees, the teaching staff of the clinical departments of VSMU with the aim of providing medical and advisory assistance to the population in the areas of cardiology, neurology, psychiatry and narcology, surgery , therapy, otorhinolaryngology, traumatology and orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, etc. 50 visits were made to health care institutions in the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions to receive patients in the central district hospitals and interdistrict centers.

Healthcare institutions of the Mogilev region were visited: “Bobruisk Central Hospital”, “Belynichi Central District Hospital”, “Bykhovskaya Central District Hospital”. In the Vitebsk region: “Miory Central District Hospital”, “Rossony Central District Hospital”, “Verkhnedvinsk Central District Hospital”, “Dubrovno Central District Hospital”, “Glubokoye Central District Hospital”, “Senno Central District Hospital”, “Ushachi Central District Hospital”, “Sharkovshchina Central District Hospital”, “Braslav Central District Hospital”, “ Beshenkovichi Central District Hospital”, Gorodok Central District Hospital, as well as Novopolotsk Central City Hospital, Orsha Central Clinic, City Hospital No. 1 named after Semashko.

27 employees of the clinical departments of VSMU were involved in providing medical and advisory work. More than 600 consultations of patients were conducted in hospitals, in the departments of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and at outpatient appointments, 9 master classes and training seminars. To provide traumatological and orthopedic care, a visit was made to Orsha Central Clinic, City Hospital No. 1 named after Semashko. A surgical intervention was performed on a patient with stage 3 coxarthrosis, total endoprosthesis replacement of the left hip joint with an endoprosthesis manufactured in Belarus “Altimed”.
