Final practical training of VSMU students in the reserve officer training program

More than 160 fourth-year students of the medical, stomatological, pharmaceutical and pediatric faculties of VSMU have been undergoing final practical training in the reserve officer training program since June 30, 2025. During the month, future officers improve their knowledge of fire and engineering training, organization of medical support for troops and apply them in practice.

On July 5, the students studying in the reserve officer training program took the Military Oath at the Flag and Coat of Arms Square.

On July 9 and 11, practical shooting from AK-74 assault rifle was held as part of fire training classes. The students passed a test on knowledge of the material part of the weapon and preparation for shooting, demonstrating a high level of discipline and skill.

The students approached the implementation of this standard with all seriousness and responsibility, because shooting from combat weapons requires concentration of knowledge and practical skills, mobilization of internal forces.

Result – the exercise was completed with “good” and “excellent”!

Upon completion of the practice, students will take an exam in which they must confirm the knowledge and skills they have acquired.

Successful passing of the exam will be the final stage in the training of reserve officers and will allow them to receive the corresponding military rank.
