Meeting of the VSMU Rector with students participating in the Summer School in Samarkand

On September 5, 2025, VSMU Rector Alexey Chukhanov held a meeting with students participating in the Summer School-2025 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The event was attended by Elena Sharykhina, Head of the Department for International and Interregional Affairs Office.

The dialogue took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Students shared their impressions and emotions about the trip, unanimously describing it as a unique and incredibly valuable experience.

Representatives of VSMU, second-year students Diana Sharkovich, Yana Brashkina, and Alexey Namenstinikov, participated in the Summer School-2025 organized by Samarkand State Medical University. The program aimed at student academic exchange and familiarizing participants with the history and culture of Uzbekistan.

The summer school program was highly intensive and informative. Participants immersed themselves in an academic environment, attended presentations about the educational potential of universities, listened to lectures from leading Uzbek specialists, and took part in a scientific research contest. The practical component included training in first aid using simulation equipment and exploring the organization of advanced healthcare facilities in Samarkand.

The cultural program provided numerous impressions through visits to historical sites and explorations of the city’s ancient history.

Additionally, VSMU students became prize-winners in several categories during the competition.

The Summer School-2025 enabled VSMU students to showcase our university, connect with peers from other countries, and sparked significant interest in organizing joint student projects. This experience opens opportunities for VSMU to deepen collaborations with partner universities in Uzbekistan and beyond.
