Approximately fifty students and staff members of VSMU participated in the excursion route titled “Restored Churches of Vitebsk City” as part of the innovative project “Restoration of Churches in Vitebsk Region.” The project includes guided tours of churches in Vitebsk and the surrounding area, open dialogues, interactive educational activities, charity events, photo exhibitions, and displays of student artwork.

In recent years, Belarus has undertaken significant efforts to restore destroyed churches. These churches are not only remarkable architectural monuments but also unique sites of spiritual power, capable of uniting creative individuals and becoming genuine cultural and spiritual centers, as well as sources of inspiration.

Youth involvement in church restoration, engagement with the history and culture of Belarus, and the use of Orthodox traditions in moral, spiritual, and patriotic education contribute to the development of morally mature and spiritually cultivated individuals. Such efforts foster a sense of responsibility for the future of the Fatherland and the nation.
