The President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, spoke about continuity and the preservation of cultural heritage, saying: "A lot now depends on how united we are and how much we want to live on our land. Therefore, everyone will do their part to live, work, build, and modernize here..."
As part of the innovative project "Restoration of Churches in Vitebsk Region," students and staff of VSMU participated in a charitable event dedicated to Unity Day and the Year of Improvement. The activity involved cleaning the territory and the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, located in the village of Svecha, Beshankovichi District, Vitebsk Region.
It is worth noting that in 2025, VSMU actively implements student initiatives aimed at improving the university and the student campus area, memorials of the Great Patriotic War, and architectural monuments. The VSMU project to raise public awareness about the restoration of objects of historical and spiritual heritage, as well as the development of cultural and educational tourism, is one of these initiatives.
