Meeting of the Education Quality Council Representatives with First-Year Group Leaders

In accordance with the Student Council for Education Quality work plan, on September 17, 2025, a meeting was held between council members and first-year class leaders from all faculties at VSMU, with the participation of the First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova and representatives of the deans’ offices.

The council chairperson, Yana Kaznovetskaya, a fifth-year student of the General Medicine Faculty, introduced the freshmen to the goals and objectives of the council’s work, as well as the events organized by the council.

Elections were held to select representatives of the first-year students from each faculty to join the council.

The following presentations were delivered:

- “From Session to Session: How to Learn Effectively” (Yana Kaznovetskaya);

- “Psychological Adaptation to University Studies” (Natalya Bolshakova, educational psychologist of the Social-Pedagogical and Psychological Service);

- “Introduction to the ‘Geography’ of the University” (location of departments and clinical bases) (Dmitry Korobov, a fifth-year General Medicine student);

- “Overview of the Distance Learning System” (Gleb Sinkov, Head of the Distance Learning Department).

The first-year students found the information useful and expressed interest in activities aimed at improving education quality at their university.
