On September 17, coinciding with the Day of National Unity, the opening of the exhibition for the Republican Cultural and Educational Contest-Action “Facets of Creativity” took place. The contest aims to create opportunities for the creative self-expression of students, to develop and support the initiatives of student youth, and to foster an objective attitude among young people toward the country’s historical past, as well as the preservation and strengthening of the unity of the Belarusian people. The event is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth.
The creative works submitted by students from higher education institutions across Belarus – including paintings, graphic drawings, and photographs – reflected themes of love for the Motherland, the Belarusian language, poetry, and national culture.
During the event, Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, awarded students and their supervisor, organizer-teacher Sergey Nazarev, who won 20 diplomas from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, including first, second, and third-degree honors. Dmitry Konstantinovich emphasized that creativity is an important part of everyone’s life; it opens new horizons and allows development in various directions. The Day of National Unity symbolizes the continuity of generations and serves as a starting point for new good deeds, fruitful achievements, and, of course, progress forward.
At the conclusion of the event, a musical performance of “The Sun over Belarus” was gifted to all attendees by Ekaterina Dyakova, soloist of the folk amateur group of the Republic of Belarus, the pop song studio “Tandem.”
We invite everyone interested to view the works of the winners of the Republican Contest!
