Two-Day Cycling Tour of VSMU Staff Dedicated to the Day of National Unity

On September 19, VSMU staff embarked on a two-day cycling tour along the route Vitebsk – TOK “Losvido” – Vitebsk, dedicated to the Day of National Unity.

This cycling tour is being held for the fifth time with the aim of fostering civic and patriotic education, promoting and developing physical culture, sports, and tourism as one of the most accessible and popular forms of active recreation and a healthy lifestyle.

Along the way, participants improve the surrounding areas and lay flowers at military monuments and memorials, paying tribute to those who fell for the freedom and independence of our Motherland, while also fully enjoying the natural beauty of the Vitebsk region.

As Alexander Myasoedov, Chair of the VSMU Staff Trade Union Committee, stated:

“The collective cycling tour along fields and forest roads covering about 50 km is a great opportunity to test physical fitness and helps foster a healthy team spirit among the university’s active staff.”

The cycling tour was organized by the administration and the trade union organization of Vitebsk State Medical University staff.
