Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy Visited the Vitebsk Enterprise "Pharmacia"

On September 25, 2025, as part of the celebration of World Pharmacist Day, a group of fifth-year pharmacy students from VSMU, guided by the Dean’s Deputy Elena Serak, visited the Vitebsk State Enterprise "Pharmacia."

The visit included a seminar-review tour where the students were warmly welcomed by the enterprise’s General Director, Ekaterina Borisyevich. Ekaterina Stanislavovna reminded the attendees of the vital role pharmacists play in achieving effective pharmacotherapy results and improving patients' quality of life. She emphasized that pharmacists are the most accessible healthcare professionals and are highly trusted by the population.

Natalia Petrovets, Head of Legal and HR Department, provided information about the enterprise’s organizational structure and main areas of activity. Oleg Abadzhyan, Deputy Head of the Pharmaceutical Warehouse, introduced the students to the organization of the pharmacy warehouse operations.

The visit also included a tour of the regional control and analytical laboratory, led by Laboratory Head Tatyana Torbina. During the tour, students explored modern equipment and technologies used in pharmacy practice.

This seminar and tour offered future pharmacists a closer look at the practical aspects of their profession. Such events help young professionals better understand the specifics of their future work, recognize the importance of pharmaceutical services in ensuring public health, and develop their professional competencies.
