Unified Information Day "Modern approaches to regional development: from economy to social infrastructure"

On March 19, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a Single Information Day, during which Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-Rector of Ideological and Educational Work, addressed the university workforce. The topic of the meeting was modern approaches to regional development, covering a wide range of issues from the economy to social infrastructure.

In his report, Dmitry Kuzhel outlined the main results of the socio-economic development of the Vitebsk region for 2021–2025, noting that one of the key goals of the five-year plan had been successfully achieved: social stability and improved welfare for citizens. A significant contribution to regional development has come from the initiative of the Head of State, A.G. Lukashenko, titled "One District, One Project," which aims to boost investment activities and strengthen the local economy.

Special attention was given to the key achievements of the five-year plan, including dynamic economic growth, housing construction, improvements in healthcare and sports, modernization of educational programs, and the creation of a new national brand — tourism — which opens up Belarus’s rich potential.
