Single Information Day at VSMU: a course for regional development

A Single Information Day was held at Vitebsk State Medical University on March 19, 2026. The event was attended by university staff and students, as well as representatives from dormitories No. 3, 6, and 8.

First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova, Dean of the General Medicine Faculty Marina Fomina, and Deputy Dean of the Stomatological Faculty of Ideological and Educational Work Lyudmila Somova delivered presentations to the audience.

During the event, key areas of the Vitebsk Region's socio-economic development program for 2026–2030 were reviewed, including preserving the nation’s health, supporting families, developing human potential, digital transformation, and creating a comfortable living environment. The speakers also highlighted the importance of updating transport and road infrastructure and harnessing the region’s tourism potential.

The presenters emphasized that developing strong regions is impossible without the active participation of young people and encouraged students to consider their role in shaping the future of Belarus. After all, the desire to make our country a better place is a desire that unites us all!
