VSMU continues to implement the joint educational project of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, "Start the Heart," for 10th-grade students.

Classes are held every Saturday at the university's simulation and certification center, under the guidance of experienced specialists.

In addition to teaching fundamental skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, students learn algorithms for first aid in cases of injuries, fractures, and bleeding. The one-and-a-half-hour course is designed to maximize practical immersion: 30 minutes are dedicated to theoretical knowledge, while the remaining time is spent practicing techniques on modern dummy simulators. This format not only helps students master the techniques but also prepares them psychologically for actions in emergency situations.

According to participants, the classes generate great interest due to the opportunity to apply knowledge in conditions that closely resemble real-life emergencies. Students emphasize that the acquired skills boost their confidence in their abilities and provide a clear understanding of how to act in critical situations, making the project both engaging and truly useful.
