On April 2, 2026, a joint curatorial hour dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia was held at the Pediatrics Faculty of VSMU.
This year marks a significant milestone — the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement on the Formation of the Community of Belarus and Russia. This document laid a strong foundation for the continued development of union-building and integration processes between the two fraternal nations.
Due to its spiritual significance, this holiday has long become a symbol of unbreakable friendship, mutual assistance, and well-being for many generations of Belarusians and Russians. It emphasizes the shared historical destinies and cultural values of the two peoples.
During the curatorial hour, students not only revisited the key moments of the 1996 Treaty but also discussed how common historical events — from the Great Victory to space exploration — have shaped a unified cultural identity.
