Theoretical training and practical skills: state final certification of future specialists at VSMU

One of the key stages in the professional development of VSMU graduates is the state final certification. It is during this period that future doctors not only confirm the development of the educational program, but also demonstrate the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in real professional activities.

On June 11, 2026, students of the General Medicine Faculty will be tested in the discipline "Public Health and Public Health".

As part of this exam, future specialists must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of key aspects of public health, as well as the factors that shape and determine its condition. In addition, graduates demonstrate mastery of modern approaches to the organization of medical care and the principles of industry management.

Thus, the certification checks the readiness of the future doctor to solve real managerial and analytical tasks that are inextricably linked to medical activities.

During the examination, the rector of the university, Alexey Chukanov, personally inquires about the level of students' training and the progress of the certification.

In addition to the theoretical part, the practical stage of the state examination, conducted in the Objective structured clinical examination, an objective structured clinical examination, is being successfully implemented on the basis of the VSMU Simulation and Certification Center.

In order to ensure maximum objectivity of the assessment, before starting the test, each student receives an individual registration number and an itinerary that records the order of passage of specialized stations. At each of these stations, graduates draw out an examination card containing a specific clinical task, which allows them to comprehensively assess their practical skills and readiness for independent professional activity.
