Quality control of specialist training

In the system of higher medical education, quality control of specialist training is a priority, especially at the final stage of training.

In order to assess the level of professional competence formation among graduates, on June 12, 2026, the leadership of Vitebsk State Medical University visited the clinical bases of the University.

VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov and First Vice-rector Alina Shchupakova visited the sites of the state examinations in the discipline "Surgical diseases" at the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital, as well as the examination in "Obstetrics and Gynecology" at the Vitebsk City Clinical Hospital for Emergency Medical Care.

Representatives of the university administration visited the exam rooms and listened to the graduates' answers.

It should be noted that the educational process at all its stages is under constant control from the university management. This event was one of the key links in the system of a set of measures to assess the effectiveness of training and the objectivity of examination procedures.

During the audit, special attention was paid to the analysis of how well future general practitioners master related competencies.
