On June 18, 2026, Alexey Chukanov, Rector of the University, member of the Presidium of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies, took part in the regional stage of the republican contest "Lord of the Village", which was co-organized by the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union with the support of our university.

The event took place in the urban settlement of Podsvilye, Glubokoe district, and brought together young families from various parts of the Vitebsk region.

During the dialogue platform, the participants discussed many aspects of social policy related to improving living standards, preserving family values, including issues of improving medical care, as well as career guidance measures.

Alexey Chukanov noted: "At our university, great importance is attached to the formation of a proper civic position among young people, fostering patriotism, respect for our traditional values - family, reverence for elders, and love for their native land. Medical students should be a role model for their peers in these matters, so we strongly support participation in such events.

In addition, such meetings are an excellent opportunity to talk and inform people about the measures that are being implemented today by the Ministry of Health to increase the availability of high-quality specialized medical care to our citizens: regular visits by teaching staff to small hospitals in the region for examination and treatment of patients, consultations and operations, which allows citizens to receive the necessary assistance locally. residence".
