The second annual professional skills competition "The Best Curator of VSMU" has ended at Vitebsk State Medical University.
The event was organized by the Department of Ideological and educational work, and the competition itself was held in several stages.
The first round determined the strongest faculty members — ten finalists, who presented their portfolios and reports on their work with student groups to the jury. However, the main challenge was the open information hours on the topic: "The family as a living legacy that unites generations and shapes the future." The participants approached this deep topic with creativity and sincerity: multimedia presentations, interactive and team games, as well as lively discussions were held. Each of the curators sought not just to convey information, but to touch the hearts of the students.
When evaluating the contestants, the jury took into account a whole range of criteria reflecting the versatility of the mentor's work.:
- involvement in the life of the group;
- quality of documentation management;
- the activity of the supervised group in socially significant university events;
- the consistency of curatorial and informational hours;
- visiting dormitories and taking care of the life of nonresident students, and more.
The awarding ceremony for the winners took place on June 19th. Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov presented well-deserved awards to the participants.
Addressing the audience, he emphasized the special role of the curator in the modern educational process.: "You are guides to the profession and to life for students, helping them not to get lost in the flow of knowledge and find their moral bearings. Thank you for your wisdom and the sincere care that makes our university a truly united family. I wish you new creative victories!"
