International Forum of the Union State "Great Heritage – a Common Future"

On June 22, 2026, VSMU teachers and students took part in the plenary session of the International Forum of the Union State "Great Heritage – a Common Future" via videoconference.

The forum, held in Brest, is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War. The event was held on the initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.

Representatives of the The Commonwealth of Independent States countries, friendly states of Europe, Asia and Latin America, public figures, representatives of the scientific community and experts discussed topical issues of preserving common historical memory, the tasks of patriotic education of the younger generation based on historical knowledge, the development of citizenship and patriotism of youth, fostering respect for the military and labor exploits of heroic ancestors, the formation of a careful attitude to historical and cultural heritage.
