The school year has been solemnly completed at VSMU

On June 24, the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University hosted a solemn ceremony of raising the National Flag of the Republic of Belarus, timed to coincide with the end of the 2025/2026 academic year.

The event was attended by representatives of the university administration, faculty, staff and students of VSMU.

Opening the ceremony, University Rector Alexey Chukanov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he noted the successful completion of the academic year, the high achievements of students in scientific and educational activities, and also thanked the staff for their hard work and contribution to the training of qualified medical personnel for the healthcare system of the Republic of Belarus. The Rector stressed that the university continues to develop dynamically, and there are new challenges ahead that require consolidation of efforts and professional responsibility.

The honorary right to raise the National Flag of the Republic of Belarus was granted to the lieutenant colonel of the medical service, senior lecturer of the military department Arseniy Tsygankov, as well as university students who showed high results in their studies and social activities.
