On June 26, 2026, Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, took part in the XIII Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia as part of the delegation of the Rector's corps.

The thematic sections and the plenary session are devoted to a detailed discussion of key areas of union integration.

Experts, representatives of parliaments, and deputies discuss issues of technological sovereignty, regional policy, healthcare, youth cooperation, and culture, as well as opportunities to develop and deepen cooperation on key issues of social policy.

The need to expand cooperation between educational institutions of our countries, including interuniversity, was also noted.
