Vitebsk State Medical University welcomed the first applicants

On June 27, 2026, the admission campaign started at VSMU. At the first stage, documents are accepted from applicants who apply for targeted training.

Documents are accepted:

for the winners of the university Olympiads: from June 27 to July 1;

for the target set: from June 27 to July 2.

The point of registration and issuance of contracts for the targeted training of specialists with higher education, the customer of which is the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, continues its work.

Comfortable conditions have been created at VSMU so that applicants can successfully apply to the admissions committee.

The algorithm of actions for applicants is strictly regulated: in the lobby of the laboratory and theoretical building, it is necessary to fill out an application in accordance with the prescribed form, samples of which are posted on information stands.;

in the absence of an agreement on targeted training, it can be issued at a special point operating in auditorium No. 3 on the ground floor.

After that, the applicant submits a package of documents to the admissions committee. At the next stage, the applicant is sent to the appropriate faculty to form a personal file.

A separate procedure is provided for nonresident students: applications for residence in a dormitory are submitted in the lobby of the laboratory and theoretical building, which allows solving the housing issue at the initial stage of registration.

In conversations with the guys who came to apply, we asked them what exactly attracts them to this admission format.

The answers turned out to be similar: for many, targeted training is an opportunity to plan their lives today.

Among the obvious advantages, applicants name a simpler admission procedure: just one entrance test instead of several. At the same time, it is emphasized that even if it is not possible to pass the target competition, there is still a chance to participate in the general competition for budget places — this gives additional confidence.

However, the main argument for the majority was social guarantees. The students note that a guaranteed workplace and the provision of housing after graduation remove the main concerns about the future. This will allow you not to be distracted during your studies and focus on mastering the profession.

According to applicants, targeted training is a conscious step into the profession, which helps to feel more confident from the first year and understand where to move on.
