Delegation of medical specialists from Uzbekistan received at VSMU

On July 6, 2026, as part of the official visit of the delegation of the Kashkadarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Vitebsk, a visit to the Vitebsk State Medical University took place. The delegation included the head and representatives of the Kashkadarya regional Health Department and heads of clinics.

Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the General Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, greeted their Uzbek colleagues.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the material and technical base of the university, and the main item on the agenda was negotiations on the prospects for bilateral cooperation.

The parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the training of medical personnel, including the forms of organization of the educational process and professional development programs.

According to the participants of the meeting, this event was an important step in strengthening Belarusian-Uzbek relations in the field of healthcare and medical education, contributing to the development of professional contacts between specialized institutions of the two countries.
