Meeting of students of Russian medical universities with the leadership of VSMU: a new stage of academic mobility

On July 6, 2026, VSMU hosted a meeting between University Rector Alexey Chukanov and the university's management with 3rd, 4th, and 5th year students from the dental and medical faculties of Russia's leading medical universities.

The event became an important stage in the implementation of academic mobility programs between VSMU and Russian partner universities.

The meeting brought together future doctors from Ryazan State Medical University, Volga Region Research Medical University (Nizhny Novgorod) and Pskov State University. The students of these universities arrived in Vitebsk to undergo practical training at the clinical bases of VSMU.

Completing an internship at VSMU will allow students of Russian medical universities to gain practical experience in conditions as close as possible to the actual work of a doctor. Students get acquainted with the work of clinical bases, master the subtleties of treatment under the guidance of experienced VSMU specialists, and also have the opportunity to exchange experiences with Belarusian colleagues.
