VSMU students became participants of the international scientific and educational project "Republican Summer Schools"

Republican summer scientific and educational schools with international participation were held on the basis of GomSMU from June 29 to July 2, 2026. The project brought together hundreds of students from 19 medical universities in Belarus, Russia and Turkmenistan.

From VSMU, 5th year students of the General Medicine Faculty Mataras Anastasia, Misuno Elin, Korban Elizaveta and Ostrovsky Alexey took part in scientific schools.

This year, the work was carried out in four areas: "School of Radiation Diagnostics", "Modern Oncology", "Neuroleto in Gomel 5.0", "Microbiology and Infectology: clinical and laboratory aspects, antibiotic resistance".

The school program was rich and practice-oriented. The participants got acquainted with the clinical bases of the departments of oncology, neurology and neurosurgery, radiation diagnostics, and infectious diseases; listened to lectures on current diagnostic and treatment methods; participated in clinical rounds and examinations of specialized patients; worked in the operating unit, and also discussed and analyzed clinical cases.
