The voice of the winning generation

A time capsule with a message to the future was solemnly laid in the Vitebsk Regional Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union M.F. Shmyrev. The ceremony was attended by activists of the primary organization of the Republican Public Association "Patriots of Belarus", representatives of the youth wing of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of VSMU, as well as members of the Vitebsk City Organization named after N.A. Yanov of the Belarusian Union of Officers.

The event was held as part of the republican campaign "Letters to descendants. Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Victory." Vitebsk became the city that launched this landmark campaign. Inside the capsule are letters from veterans: their instructions and wishes to those who will live in two decades.

Valeria Gribko, Secretary of the primary organization of the Republican Public Association "Patriots of Belarus" at VSMU, emphasized: "When the capsule is opened, it will be just as important as it is today. A feat does not age, it is a reminder of the fragility of the world!"

The capsule will be opened in the year of the 100th anniversary of the Victory - in 2045.
