Vitebsk State Medical University expands cooperation with China: online meeting with the Charitable Foundation for Support of Education and Development of Talented Students

On July 13, 2026, VSMU hosted an online meeting with the leadership of the Charitable Foundation for the Support of Education and Development of Talented Students (People's Republic of China).

The event was held in the format of a videoconference and was devoted to discussing the prospects for cooperation in the field of higher medical education.

During the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the training of dental students from China at the graduate school of VSMU. This agreement has become an important step in the development of international relations between the university and confirms the high interest of the Chinese side in Belarusian medical education.

The Charitable Foundation for the Support of Education and Development of Talented Students has been supporting educational initiatives and promoting academic mobility of talented youth for many years.

Cooperation with VSMU opens up the opportunity for Chinese dental students to receive high-quality European medical education at one of the leading medical universities in Belarus.

The implementation of the program is expected to begin in the near future. The parties outlined the key steps to be taken for a successful start of joint activities. As part of the cooperation, it is planned not only to organize the educational process for Chinese undergraduates, but also to develop academic exchanges, conduct joint research and strengthen intercultural ties between students of the two countries.
