Vitebsk State Medical University held online talks with a Pakistani university

On July 16, 2026, online negotiations took place between VSMU and Shahid Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University (Pakistan).

The parties discussed the prospects of academic, educational and scientific cooperation and reached an agreement on signing a memorandum of understanding.

The following areas were considered during the meeting interactions: exchange of students and teachers; joint research projects in the field of genetics, surgery and public health; exchange of experience in educational programs and teaching methods.

The main outcome was the decision to prepare and sign a memorandum that will lay the legal foundation for a long-term partnership.

Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov noted: "We see great opportunities for the implementation of joint projects that will strengthen the export potential of our university in the field of medical education."
