Knowledge Today – Belarus’s Prosperity Tomorrow: Unified Lesson Held at VSMU

As part of the celebrations marking the beginning of the new academic year, Vitebsk State Medical University held a Unified Lesson dedicated to the unbreakable connection between generations and the defining role of knowledge in the destiny of the state.

The event was held under the profound and symbolic motto, “Knowledge Today – Belarus’s Prosperity Tomorrow,” emphasizing the strategic importance of education as a foundation for national security and economic growth.

Key topics discussed during the event included profound gratitude for the heroic achievements of the Belarusian people and the sacred duty to preserve the invaluable historical heritage for future generations. The organizers emphasized that the first lesson of the academic year is intended not only to open new horizons of knowledge, but also to foster in young people a sincere sense of pride in their Motherland and a strong sense of civic responsibility for its future.

The enduring value of passing on accumulated knowledge and moral principles was also discussed, as this serves as a foundation for continuity between generations and the sustainable development of sovereign Belarus.

Addressing the students and teaching staff in his opening remarks, University Rector Alexey Chukanov emphasized the importance of the nation’s intellectual potential, calling on future medical professionals not only to continuously master the intricacies of their profession, but also to remain patriots whose talents and dedicated work will become a solid foundation for the future of their homeland.
