Welcome to the “Medical Family”: Orientation Meetings for First-Year Students Held at VSMU

The start of the academic year was marked by a series of meetings between faculty leadership and newly enrolled students. The events were held at the Faculties of General Medicine, Pediatrics, Pharmacy and Dentistry.

The main purpose of the meetings was to introduce first-year students to the university’s academic structure, traditions and key internal regulations.

During the meetings, the deans’ offices introduced students to the administrative staff of the faculties, provided detailed information about the academic schedule, and explained the regulatory documents governing the educational process.

Particular attention was paid to extracurricular activities. Leaders of the university’s student organizations addressed the audience, including representatives of the primary organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM), the Students’ Trade Union Committee, and activists of the “Serve the Fatherland” Military-Patriotic Club. They invited the students to participate in socially significant projects and volunteer initiatives.

In addition, student leisure and sports coordinators introduced first-year students to the university’s facilities for creative activities and physical education, emphasizing the diverse opportunities available to students beyond the classroom.

The knowledge gained and an active approach to life will undoubtedly provide a solid foundation for the professional development of future doctors and pharmacists. Good luck, first-year students!
