VSMU Summarizes Results of the “Student Bridge” Project

On the second day of the national “Student Bridge” project, the delegation from Gomel State Medical University continued its tour of Vitebsk State Medical University, and the day proved especially eventful.

The participants visited the VSMU Simulation and Assessment Centre, where the guests were shown how students receive practical training. Modern mannequins, interactive simulators and realistic clinical scenarios made a strong impression on the colleagues from Gomel. The students not only observed the training process but also had an opportunity to practise practical skills themselves.

The delegation then went on a tour of one of the university’s educational and research facilities — the VSMU Botanical Garden. The future healthcare professionals learned about the use of plants in pharmacology and scientific research and explored the diversity of the garden’s collection.

The highlight of the day was the “Tree of Friendship” initiative — a joint planting of saplings symbolizing interaction and cooperation between VSMU and Gomel State Medical University.

The visit concluded with tea and a review of the two-day programme. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the participants shared their impressions, made plans for future cooperation and exchanged contact details. The project demonstrated one important thing: youth mobility is not only about education and science, but also about genuine friendship.
