VSMU Brings Continents Together: Rector Alexey Chukanov Meets with International Students Ahead of Unity Day

On September 15, VSMU held a meeting between Rector Alexey Chukanov and students of the Overseas Students Training Faculty, dedicated to the celebration of Unity Day.

In an open dialogue, the Rector spoke with the students and noted that they had already had an opportunity to appreciate the conditions for studying at the University, living in Vitebsk and the country as a whole.

Alexey Chukanov emphasized that these achievements – from safety and stability to the opportunity to receive a high-quality education – are the result of the consistent policy pursued by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who has created a solid foundation for the country's development and the improvement of all spheres of public life.

A special highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the book "Our President", translated into English. The Rector presented one copy to the Faculty so that it would be available to everyone interested, and also gave a copy to one of the best international students. Many students actively share information about Belarus with their friends and relatives abroad, acting as informal ambassadors of Belarusian culture.

At the end of the meeting, the Rector wished the students continued success in their studies and expressed confidence that the knowledge they acquire in Vitebsk would provide a solid foundation for their professional careers.
