VSMU Students and Staff Take Part in the Republican Dictation Dedicated to Unity Day

On September 17, students, teaching staff and employees of Vitebsk State Medical University joined the annual republican initiative – a dictation dedicated to Unity Day.

Before the dictation began, VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov addressed those gathered. He emphasized the significance of the events of September 1939 for the reunification of the Belarusian people and the importance of preserving this unity in the modern context. The Rector wished the participants success in completing the dictation and an enjoyable experience.

The event was held simultaneously in all regions of the country at educational institutions participating in the joint broadcast. The main purpose of the initiative was to remind participants of the deeper meaning of the holiday, strengthen a sense of community and pride in their country, and promote interest in the Belarusian language.

After completing the dictation, participants had an opportunity to check their work against the original text.

The event was also held as part of the “Freshman Month” programme for information and legal education of first-year students at the Educational Institution “Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University.”
