VSMU Holds an Open Dialogue with Young Professionals

On 6 October 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University held an open-dialogue meeting bringing together the university’s leadership and young professionals. The event provided an important platform for discussing current issues related to professional adaptation and the development prospects of early-career employees.

Participants included VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov, representatives of the university administration, leaders of the staff trade union and the university’s primary BRSM organisation.

Addressing the participants, Alexey Chukanov emphasised that the younger generation is a driving force behind progress both at the university and in the country’s healthcare system. He encouraged young colleagues to become actively involved in research and teaching, as well as in socially significant projects and initiatives.

Alexander Myasoedov, Chair of the Staff Trade Union, spoke in detail about social protection measures for young professionals. He outlined the support provided for under the collective agreement, as well as opportunities for health-resort treatment and financial assistance available to early-career employees.

Tatyana Makarevich, leader of the university’s primary BRSM organisation, presented opportunities for young professionals to realise their potential through the youth movement. She invited colleagues to take part in volunteer and socially significant projects, creative competitions, and sporting events, noting that an active approach to life helps people develop their potential and strengthen connections within the team.

This format of interaction encourages constructive dialogue between university management and employees, directly contributing to stronger team spirit and a favourable environment for productive work.
