Meetings between the students and the administration of VSMU in an informal setting in the format of tea drinking have already become a tradition. On the first school day of the second semester, in dormitory No. 5, a meeting was held between the children and the vice-rector for educational work, Natalya Boltrushevich, as well as the secretary of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Natalya Gaponko, and the chief specialist of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Milana Alekseeva. The main topic of the meeting was the participation of student youth in the preparation and holding of a single voting day at the university. Students took an active part in the youth awareness-raising project “Pashtouka.BEL”, and were also able to communicate with each other, ask questions to the vice-rector for educational work, share their impressions after the holidays, and talk about plans for the new semester

On February 9, 2024, within the framework of cooperation between VSMU and "Smolensk State Medical University" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, a working meeting was held with the delegation of the problematic research Laboratory "Diagnostic studies and minimally invasive technologies" of "Smolensk State Medical University" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation headed by the director of the laboratory, professor, doctor of medical sciences Alexey Borsukov with the rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov, the vice-rector for international relations and organizational and legal work Denis Lits and the head of the department of international and interregional relations Elena Sharykhina.

On February 12, 2024, on the eve of the Unified Voting Day, the opening of the civil-patriotic marathon “#United” took place at VSMU with the participation of the Rector of the university Alexey Chukanov, the vice-rector for educational work Natalya Boltrushevich, the secretary of the PO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" of VSMU Natalya Gaponko.

On February 10, 2024, a trip to the republican ski center “Silichi” was organized for the employees and students - members of the trade union of the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University and the children of employees, where, surrounded by a coniferous forest, there are 10 ski slopes of varying difficulty levels.

Every lover of active winter recreation could find something to their liking: skiing, snowboarding, skating, tubing. And those who came to the ski center for the first time were able to use the services of an instructor who taught basic skiing and snowboarding skills.

Skiing is a great way to improve your physical fitness, increase endurance and have fun.

As part of the events held during the winter holidays with VSMU students of the FOST, on February 9, 2024, a trip of foreign students took place to the magnificent castles of Belarus - Mirsky and Nesvizhsky.

The excursion participants were able to enjoy the grandeur, history and picturesque architecture of the unique monuments of the national culture of Belarus, and became acquainted with incredible stories, mysteries and secrets associated with the Mir and Nesvizh castles.
