On May 24-25, 2024, the hero city of Brest hosted a gala concert of the Republican festival of artistic creativity of students “Art-vakatsi-2024”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

On May 24, 2024, the annual XXIII Republican scientific and practical conference with the international participation for young specialists “Modern achievements of neurology and neurosurgery” was held in the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park “Great Stone” near Minsk.

The conference was attended by the employees of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of VSMU, young neurologists of the Vitebsk region and students - active members of the VSMU SSS.

From May 24 to 26, 2024, the XV Republican Spartakiad of Healthcare Workers was held in Raubichi, where the VSMU employees also competed as part of the Vitebsk region team. And the performance was very successful:

The 2nd overall team place at the Spartakiad was taken by the team from the Vitebsk region;

On May 23, 2024, a republican scientific and practical conference with international participation “Topical issues of pediatric practice, dedicated to the memory of Professor I.M. Lysenko” was held at VSMU in full-time and online format.

On May 22, 2024, the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus approved the doctoral dissertation of the associate professor of the Department of Hospital Surgery with the course of FAT and PR Fedyanin Sergei Dmitrievich (scientific supervisor - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Kosinets Vladimir Aleksandrovich).
