Our university is increasingly opening up spaces for study, creativity, events, and just hanging out with friends, because one of the priority tasks for VSMU in the Year of Quality and beyond is to improve the quality of education and students' leisure.

On October 11, 2024, several coworking zones were opened at once in the laboratory and theoretical building of VSMU. The symbolic key to the new spaces for study and creativity was handed over by Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work of VSMU, to representatives of the student community.

On October 10, 2024, the second "VSMU Biblionight 2024" in the history of the university took place.

On this autumn evening students, teachers and university staff could gain new knowledge, some skills and abilities, aesthetic pleasure, souvenir photos and even a portrait in thematically decorated locations.

Every year in our country, young and promising guys become scholarship holders of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted pupils and students. These young people are united by the desire to learn, develop, conquer new heights and glorify their native Belarus.

Students and teachers of the Vitebsk State Medical University also annually become recipients of scholarships and special prizes of the Foundation.

On October 9, 2024, a meeting of the university management with official representatives of the Chinese state-owned company Sinopharm was held at VSMU to discuss the issues related to the implementation of the agreement concluded between VSMU, the ultrasound equipment technology department of the China Association of Medical Equipment, and the Representative Office of China Sinopharm International Corporation in the Republic of Belarus.

The milestones of cooperation in attracting Chinese students to study at VSMU, and organizing academic exchanges of students and teachers were outlined.
