On December 6, 2024, the Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov met with the students of the university who will participate in the elections for the first time.

Alexey Nikolaevich told those present about the progress of the election campaign for the election of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the mechanisms and rules of electoral law in the Republic of Belarus, and also drew attention to the importance of youth participation in the socio-economic and socio-political life of our state.

In conclusion of the meeting, Alexey Nikolaevich called on students to make their responsible choice in the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

VSMU continues to offer excursion tours to introduce students to the historical and cultural heritage of our country.

On December 6, 2024, another trip of university students to the I.E. Repin Museum-Estate "Zdravnevo" took place.

On December 5, 2024, the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic hosted a military-patriotic song contest-concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 3rd anniversary of the formation of the military-patriotic Club of VSMU "I Serve the Fatherland".

Students of all courses and faculties, university staff and their family members took part in the contest.

On December 5, 2024, a meeting was held between the Deputy of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies, the Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov and the staff of the healthcare institution "Vitebsk Regional Clinical Cardiology Center".

The meeting place was not chosen by chance, because the achievements of domestic medicine in the field of cardiology are in many ways examples that we should rightfully be proud of.
