The administration of VSMU expresses its sincere condolences to all students of the Sri Lankan community in connection with horrific bomb attacks that occurred on April 21-22, 2019 in the territory of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

On 18 April 2019, the delegation from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka headed by Deputy Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine Mr. Faizal Kassim M.P. visited VSMU.

During this visit to our university, the guests got acquainted with its structure, material and technical facilities, organization of the educational process at the Department of Human Anatomy.

On April 5, 2019, the traditional annual international scientific-practical conference "Vitebsk Dermatological Readings: Evidence-Based Medicine in Dermatology and Venereology" was held at Vitebsk State Medical University. This forum was attended by 270 dermatovenerologists and cosmetologists, general practitioners, representatives of various therapeutic specialties (rheumatology, allergology, endocrinology), pediatricians and oncologists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Slovenia, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland.

In accordance with the decision of the administration of Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University the discount on tuition fee for the first year of study was established according to the results of the entrance examinations for the following foreign students.

Within the frames of joint cooperation of the Laboratory of Innovative Pedagogy, the Distance Learning Department and curators of groups of foreign students (Department of General and Physical and Colloid Chemistry, Organic Chemistry), a round table revealing the problems of distance learning in English was held on March 13, 2019. The moderators of the round table were: G. Sinkov, Head of Distance Learning Department, Z.S. Kuntsevich, Head of Department of General Physical and Colloidal Chemistry, O.A. Khodos, Head of Department of Organic Chemistry.
