On June 20, 2025, the scientific and educational school for the students "Science is the business of the young", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, completed its work.

On June 18, 2025, the awarding ceremony of the laureates of the XXXI Republican Competition of Students' Scientific Works was held.

The event was attended by the Minister of Education Andrei Ivanovich Ivanets, the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology Sergei Vladimirovich Shlychkov, as well as the representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Higher Attestation Commission and the leadership of the country's universities. Andrei Ivanovich congratulated the winners and emphasized that such young people need to be supported.

On June 19, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted an event dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People. Dmitry Kuzhel, the Vice Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, addressed the assembled students and staff of the university. In his speech he drew attention to the importance of preserving the historical memory of the sacrifices that he suffered and the trials that our people went through during the Great Patriotic War.

On June 19, 2025, on the eve of the Day of National Remembrance of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian people, the students, the representatives of trade union organizations of employees and the students of VSMU, the "BRYU" headed by the Vice Rector for Ideological and educational Work Dmitry Kuzhel took part in a ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the memorial sign "In memory of the staff of the Veterinary Institute, who died during the Great Patriotic War", which is located on the territory of the educational establishment "VSAVM" of the Oktyabrsky district. The participants of the rally observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of fascism.
