On March 13, 2026, on the eve of one of the main national holidays — Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus, a solemn ceremony was held at Vitebsk Medical University to raise the National Flag of Belarus.

This event has become a symbol of unity and respect for the Basic Law, which defines the values and development path of the Belarusian people.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Vitebsk Medical University administration, staff, and students. The honorary right to raise the National Flag of the Republic of Belarus was granted to Lieutenant Colonel of the medical service, senior lecturer of the military department Arseniy Tsygankov, as well as distinguished university students.

On March 13, 2026, VSMU hosted the final distribution (job placement) and internships for the 2026 graduates.

The meeting of the State Commission was chaired by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Khodzhaev. Olga Kolyupanova, Head of the Main Department of Personnel Work and Vocational Education of the Ministry of Health, regional department heads, representatives of the Minsk Health Committee, Alexey Chukanov, Rector of VSMU, and deans of faculties also participated in the event.

On March 12, 2026, as part of academic mobility, Lyudmila Belyaeva, Dean of the Stomatological Faculty, Candidate of Medical Sciences, and Associate Professor at VSMU, delivered an open online lecture for our longstanding partner, Orenburg State Medical University.

The topic—"Pathophysiological Characteristics of Tumor Growth"—generated great interest among future doctors. The virtual lecture attracted over 100 participants, comprising second-year students from the Pediatrics and Stomatological Faculties of Orenburg State Medical University.

On March 11, 2026, a meeting focused on legal education for students was held at the Oversease Students Training Faculty of VSMU.

This event, organized for 1st and 2nd-year students, was attended by staff from the Dean’s Office of the Federal Migration Service and the Senior Inspector of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Pervomaisky district administration.

Participant of the folk pop song studio "Tandem" (led by Ekaterina Palagot), Ekaterina Dyakova, has once again demonstrated her high performance level by becoming a finalist in the prestigious National Competition for Young Pop Song Performers, Molodechno-2026.

On March 10, 2026, the zonal qualifying round took place in Dubrovno. Ekaterina Dyakova, a third-year student of the Pharmaceutical Faculty, proudly represented VSMU and her creative team. During the auditions, she performed two compositions in Belarusian, showcasing a high level of professionalism and artistic taste.
