Approximately fifty students and staff members of VSMU participated in the excursion route titled “Restored Churches of Vitebsk City” as part of the innovative project “Restoration of Churches in Vitebsk Region.” The project includes guided tours of churches in Vitebsk and the surrounding area, open dialogues, interactive educational activities, charity events, photo exhibitions, and displays of student artwork.

On September 7, 2025, the primary trade union organization of VSMU staff organized a diverse sightseeing trip along the route Vitebsk – Verkhnedvinsk – Osvee – Sarya. The tour, titled "The Riches of the Lake Land," fully lived up to its name, providing participants with a multitude of vivid impressions.

Travelers visited the Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory, where they observed the full production cycle and sampled a variety of cheeses while learning the history and secrets behind each variety.

On September 8, 2025, a cooperation agreement was signed online between Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University and the State Educational Institution "Gymnasium of Svetlogorsk."

The document was signed by VSMU Rector Alexey Chukhanov and the Director of the Gymnasium, Elena Mishchenko.

On September 5, 2025, VSMU Rector Alexey Chukhanov held a meeting with students participating in the Summer School-2025 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The event was attended by Elena Sharykhina, Head of the Department for International and Interregional Affairs Office.

The dialogue took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Students shared their impressions and emotions about the trip, unanimously describing it as a unique and incredibly valuable experience.

On September 5, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University was honored to host Rasul Bagirov, the UN Resident Coordinator in Belarus. His visit turned the university into a platform for meaningful dialogue about global challenges and the vital role of healthcare professionals in the modern world.

During the meeting between Rector Alexey Chukhanov and Mr. Bagirov, as well as a subsequent discussion with students on the topic "The Role of Medical Education in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals," the rector highlighted Belarus’s successes in reaching these goals. He emphasized that these achievements are a result of well-planned state social policies and the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Health to improve the healthcare system and medical education in the country.
