On September 4, at the VSMU Student Center, as part of the informational and legal awareness activities for first-year students under the "Freshman Month" program, a presentation of creative projects took place. These included exhibitions of photographs and artworks by VSMU students, presentations on "The Church of John the Baptist in Vitebsk: Restoration of Vitebsk Region Churches," and a showcase titled "VSMU Youth for Family Values!"

On September 4, 2025, VSMU hosted the charity event "To School with a Kind Heart." Everyone was encouraged to bring stationery supplies for children in need and to leave a piece of their heart on an interactive poster. After all, kindness is the most important!

Today, September 4th, Mikhail Alexandrovich Nikolsky celebrates his 90th birthday. A former juvenile prisoner, veteran of VSMU, and esteemed professor.

On this remarkable occasion, Mikhail Alexandrovich was congratulated by the VSMU administration, leaders of the veterans’ council, the trade union organization of staff, and the primary organization of the Belarusian Women’s Union.

Mikhail Alexandrovich Nikolsky devoted 40 years to his beloved Vitebsk State Medical University. Throughout his career, he held various positions, including Head of the Department of Traumatology, Dean of the Faculty for Overseas Students Training, Dean of the General Medicine Faculty, and Vice-Rector for Academic Work.

On September 3, 2025, VSMU participated in an online roundtable titled “International Day of Knowledge – Kaleidoscope of International Events,” which brought together universities from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Representing VSMU, the event was attended by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Denis Lits, Head of the International and Interregional Affairs Office Elena Sharykhina, and Head of the Department of International Affairs Anna Pchelințeva.

Staff and students regularly become the main featured guests on reputable television and radio programs, where they discuss education and science in accessible language, share innovations, and provide useful information.

On September 2, 2025, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Legal Affairs Denis Lits, Dean of the Pharmaceutical Faculty Valentina Kugach, and fifth-year pharmacy student Pavel Pashkevich participated in a live broadcast of the project "Your Choice" on "Radio Vitebsk."
